Are you talking about the SSI gold box series starting with Pool of Radiance? I played all of those on my C64 back in the day then again a few years ago when they were re-released. I also played the Ultima series up to VI, Wizadry serices. Wiz8 was not easy to get my hands on. All the Might and Magi...

party based rpgs
I really enjoyed this game. Anyone know a few more games similar. I like turned based games with parties. Stuff similar to the old Wizadry and Bard"s Tale series.
