My amendment to Growler's challenge:
Half-Orc Hydromancer.
Because the Hydromancer NEVER gets a level-based damage spell like all the other elements do. And a Half-Orc gets -4 IQ & -1 WI. So forget using magic in combat for the first few levels...

Oh, so the orkish word filter is still there? Some of the suggestions that Origen made way back when are applicable to me as well. They were most of the reason that I stopped working on two mods for DW. If I go back in and playtest again with a new party, I may be able to figure out if some of the s...

To answer some questions that I just noticed, but were asked over a month ago: Yes, I signed me up to make a DW mod of "The Bard's Lore: The Warrior and the Dragon" by John H. Wigforss using the Bard's Tale Construction Set, and the sequel "Bard's Lore 2". After a lot of progress...

My bookmark goes to http://devilwhiskey.com/forums/index.php but I don't notice a redirection either. 3 Mb DSL, minus something for the browser windows that SheWhoMustBeObeyed leaves open :)

I downloaded it just a few minutes ago, and immediately went and read the readme file. That's good work - it looks a lot like what I have in my own draft readme, and you've covered a few things I forgot like if somebody ever gets any money for it. Two things I noticed: AFAIK, you don't have to inclu...

I agree with using Ad-Aware religiously, and a good AV suite. I personally am using McAfee, but other than it having to be shooed away from one downloaded archive it works for me. If I don't tell it to stop scanning that one file, it seems to hang on it for about 8 hours. Also, if you've got broadba...

I hope nobody was holding their breath, or postponing other bodily functions, while waiting for me to finish "The Bard's Lore". I've got files here dating from 2004! Some stuff that I can't even figure out now, and will have to test from scratch all over again. Oh well. One nice thing abou...

OK. Just one tip for anyone designing their own mod. Make all your files have your initials at the beginning of each and EVERY file that you make whether they are config files, script files, picture files, sound files or whatever they may be. That way when trying to collect all files for compilatio...

If somebody has the clue book for "Fountain of Dreams" (or even knows for sure if there wasn't one), I'd really like to know. That's a game that I wrote an FAQ for and still didn't figure everything out. Not a great game, but all the good ones had been covered already. Oh, and I'd be inter...
