I've got a possible fix to the problem with the monsters attacking too vigorously with ranged attacks, let them have one and only one round of attacks with thrown axes/bows/crossbows. Sorry for the long delayed response... As for why the restore BP works in the normal taverns, it's 'cause the in-game taverns don't use the scripting interface, they're coded in C++ in the engine.
