Here is a capture I made using better screenshots ( http://publicspace.net/windows/BetterScreenshots/index.html ) and animation studio. First one is DOS version running through dosbox with 2x filter on. Smooths it out a bit. http://home.comcast.net/~tavernx/images/testcapture.gif Second one is from ...

I believe I give too good of a reward for this point in the game. Just based on the reward, I was able to advance my characters from level 1 to level 10 or 11. This really makes the beginning of the game too easy. I also gave out some really good treasure, which is probably too advanced for this po...

Found the problem. It's an issue that I encoutered once before but forgot all about. Anyway, I corrected the script so you should now get healed and get paid. Made a few cosmestic and spelling corrections, too. Chaney is correct that the mod is for beginning characters. Following Origen's guidlines,...

chaney: Very strange... When I tested my party *did* get healing after the entire episode was done. I went back and completed it again just to make certain. Did you receive some extra gold reward at the end, or did that fail too? Can anyone else tell me if the script completed successfully for them?

Yeah, I made a forest-type map and it was really bland with just two different trees. I ended up making a few more, which was not easy. The good thing was that I learned to use several of the tools in photoshop to great effect. The end result actually looks... decent. However, making trees took a lo...

using windows XP and ZipCentral version 4.01 Seems that winzip is adding in some stuff that zipcentral cannot read. However, zipcentral is fairly old software. I doesn't appear to have been updated in close to 5 years. If you don't want to use the free annoying pop-up version of winzip, then you ca...

Compressed using winzip 8.1. I tested on 3 different computers and did not see that message. What OS and compression software are you using?

K, wrote up a mod yesterday. It can be found at http://home.comcast.net/~tavernx/ Defend Rennibister! Yes, it's very simple and only took a few hours to write up, but I like em simple cause then I don't have to spend forever debugging. I kinda like the idea of adding some new quests into the existin...

RicksTavern has also created a super-cool mod--used/created new textures, monsters, etc giving it a unique feel.. folks should check it out--assuming it's still available? (if not, I'll be happy to post/host it with his permission) Don't think I even have it anymore. The account where I was hosting...

Don't you use a spreadsheet prog to help create your map files? Maybe you could whip up a simple one to share with the script-kiddies? 100% graph paper! http://www.mathematicshelpcentral.com/graph_paper.htm I use form 4A. It's large enough that you can scribble in notes. I have to be able to visual...

Would be fun to try, but I might need longer than couple weeks depending upon work.

If this is kept simple enough then we can easily assemble all submitted modifications into a mod-contest expansion pack.

Does the 2.01 patched version play differently? I might have to play through again someday if it does.

Probably just punishing myself by showing up here again, but it seems that I still have some hope for modding left in me. Here are some items that I sent to Shifting Suns that never got a resolution: - PlaySpecAudio does not work with just any audio file, but I can find neither rhyme nor reason as t...

Here is an update that I should have posted along time ago Alpha channel and tranparency It is sometimes desirable to create textures that are partially or completely transparent. This is done by creating and alpha channel for an image. This is a separate image that is used along with a source image...

Yes, I can substitute one of the other configs and it will work. I suspect that the difference is that all the other configs have a main audio file defined. I don't want any main audio. I just want a one time play of the file. This probably has to be done in some other way and may not be accessible ...
