After a long absence, an update ....

... apologies for being AWOL ... I have set up a Linux VPS and hope to 'restore' Rennibister Hall in some way soon as well as re-locate the site and forums. The patch link is at ~ http://www.decklinsdomain.net/demdev/archives/contents.htm I think jykler has the text file(s) we located but those have...

I'm trying to complete the transfer, there are delays with getting Rennibister Hall moved :(

We are selling games slowly ... but until we get all the details squared away I can't even evaluate what needs to be done ... sorry its taking so long.

Its an army of bots -- but actually google-bot is causing a lot of problems these days. I got dinged for $60 of over bandwidth on the demise site because google-bot alone was delving into all the forum threads - repeatedly !!!! I put a robots.txt in the root which fixed it ... will do the same here ...

Could you be more specific as to which Devil Whiskey page has a dead link? I found one on the Rennibister page sets which are still 'physically' on Shifting Suns Servers and I've asked for a correction ... if there's others copy the URL if you can so I can check/fix it ... :-)

Thanks Growler :-) ... the particular post I referred to was earlier in this thread, I didn't see it until now - otherwise I'd have replied to it more immediately. I'd normally shrug it off, but the references to my sticky fingers got me riled ;-) I did like your following comment though!

Reading through this string was a little depressing, but to answer Origen's most recent comment - I am around and once we've completed the transition from Shifting Suns Studios I do intend to address issues with the game and the tool set. At the moment, I am providing hosting for the main Devil Whis...

I have deleted 50 or so 'spam IDs' today ... changed the default to require admin activation which should mean no postings. Working through at least 50 more ... the bots will be manually sifted for a while before we can change the scripts so they cannot log in automatically.

Truth is we're concentrating on getting the websites and other services back up, the first priority is to support what we have right now. It will be a few months before I get to see the 'state of play' and determine what can be done and when.

For a while the link to purchase the boxed set was disabled as we had no manuals, but we recently printed a batch sufficient for the remaining stock. Since the link was re-enabled orders have started coming in again. I don't expect a flood of orders by any means but we've had 5 in 4 weeks which is a...
