One thing I just noticed while playing the game that I feel will make it helpful is that when you are invoking an item during combat (or at any time, really, being able to select it by using a number instead of scrolling to select it. It is easier to hit I-6 instead of hitting I and then scroll down to select it from the menu.

Or when purchasing items in a store, being able to buy more than one item at a time, instead of having to purchase one ruby, then scrolling down again to purchase another ruby, etc. until you have the required amount of ruby's needed, being able to just buy 10 ruby's outright would save allot of time and hassle.

Just the same I thought as I wanted to buy lots of arrows for my ranger. ^^

I got tired of buying "20 arrows at a time - since I'd load up with several quivers of 200 arrow. Use toolkit to change "arrows(20)" to arrows(50).
Made shopping a LOT easier.

Only bad part about that is that you will miss out on the new items, since compliling with the items.txt file will onlu include items in the first release, and not from any of the patches.

Maybe this post should go under mods? :?
Especially since there are no official 'devs' per se these days.

I've just started a new crew in the MegaMod (unzipped MM over a fresh v2.0 install, so now should be ver 2.01b - 'unofficial') and am reminded how absolutely unfailingly accurate ALL range weapons are!

Part of the official 2.01/a update was to toughen monster AI including more effective range weaponry such as spears.. but seems the devs overdid it cuz now the monsters' ranged attacks Never miss!

So a few barbarians (or Dwarves, Senrats, etc) can easily wipe out a new crew.. and while it's great to have a more challenging beginning game, it's annoying when there's (apparently) zero chance of a monster's ranged attack missing--even when a char's Dex + LK is high & AC is low.

Always helps to be tight with a couple o' Supremely Courtly Judgers. :?

The SS did a pretty good job keeping the ole geezer sequestered long enough to sober up.

You're thinking Dwarf Fortress; where refusing to drink booze is grounds for execution.
