I carried a Bard up to level 15 once. I never used any spell songs, and found him to be as pointless as Growler, so IIRC I dumped him for a cute half-elf monk. She was way behind, but caught up quickly enough.

Current party I never ever considered a Bard though.

re: 'pointless as Growler' ~ at least the dom knew to spell Growler with a Big Cap 'Gee' (my hair smelleth terrific)

Dom prolly has some sense of the ancient Growler wisdom.. give him time and he'll perceive a lil more with every passing decade.

just got this 'corrupted error' message again, in the top levels of the ExorArc tower, after conjuring up a bunch of different monster allies for a tough battle after being badly injured. The monsters started 'singing songs' (I didn't hear any, must be 'silent night'). Oh well, just reloaded from a minute earlier and tried again sans help. No problems that time.
