I found the LC in ver 2.01a, but not sure if it was in 2.01 or nada? (think it was, tho)

Without having played very far into 2.01a, hard to say how dif it might be from 2.0, but generally seems like minor difs..

Pretty sure this isn't complete, but here's a ReadMe.txt file in v2.01a:

Upgraded to later zlib varsion
Sort Spell lists, by level from 7 down to 1, and by name from a to z.
The stronger spells are at the top, and the weaker ones are at the bottom.
<esc> in Automap closes
<esc> in <esc> menu closes
Equipping an item while in combat may have caused savegame problems.
Removed store buying cheat.
Fixed chest description overwrites options.
Uninitialized variable in using skills/spells may have caused some crashes.
Dynamic loading of Actions.Dat should provide missing skills.
Better spell usage for some spellcaster monsters.
The Action editor was incorrectly assigning Paralyze resistance
instead of no resistance for melee style attacks.
Paladins were able to make bosses surrender.
New Ogre pictures. Some of the old ones may have caused problems.

Maybe these are just the tweaks from ver 2.01 to 2.01a ?
The experience tables were changed from v2.0 to later, & new items introduced, for ex..

Origen, have you gone on vacation?? :?

Does the 2.01 patched version play differently? I might have to play through again someday if it does.

There is a big difference in gameplay at the beginning of the game with the new patch.

I am not sure how it translates when the game progresses, since I started modding and didn't get that far.

At the very least, playing may inspire more modding. You are one of the few people out there who has actually released something.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

big difference in gameplay meaning...? higher random monster encounter rate? different monsters? quicker leveling up? different graphics? What kind of difference?
