um.. "giddy as a human-sized rat school girl" eh?
sounds like yer channeling Origen! :D

Butt ugly mug, 2x-eh??
Well, if the illusion fitz..

Yeah, Dragonbait has at least one complete mod (& close? to finishing another called Xoram's Tower), but there's also 2 or 3 mods by Origen and 3 by RicksTavern--so ye've Mucho Moddin' to look forward to! :P

here's the current mods contained in the Megamod:

unofficial beta patch (ver 2.01b-unofficial)
Defend Rennibister! - created by Rickstavern
Devil Whiskey Add-On - created by Origen
The Basement - created by Dragonbait
The Great Oracle - created by Rickstavern
Tales of the North - created by Rickstavern

Guess Origen's BT1 mod wasn't compatible with the megamod realm..?

So go kick some DW arse this time'round & let not any CTD's deter ye!

Hey, post up & let us know how it's going.. Origen needs to live vicariously since he Still hasn't completed the basic DW game..

Hey I didn't say butt ugly, just ugly  Not that my little rat guy there is any better :P
I had no idea Origen hasn't completed the game yet, I figure you and him would of completed it dozens of times by now.

Didn't I read somewhere that you put helped out with the mod or am I having flashbacks again?

One last thing, I read that almost everyone didn't use a bard, but I always have one and they're not as bad as everyone thinks. She's my 4th character and always uses a bow which she does ok with, but the songs are pretty good. I use that sleep song in the beginning and it helps a lot (if it doesn't put my own guys to sleep first ) Plus the other songs aren't that bad. That walking song really helps keep down the random battles and yes it is a pain in the butt when you take 4 steps and the song stops, but it's all random. Sometimes I can walk pretty much the entire city without getting an encounter or having to resing the song. And after a few levels she can sing tons of songs that I never worry about her losing her voice. :D

Anyways that's just my two cents worth for bards, they get such a bad rap over here

What about psi-knights? I'm on the fence with their usefullness, but I'm still going to have one and see just how powerful she can get.
Despite all my rage,
I'm still just a rat in a cage.

In Growler parlance, 'butt-ugly' is the sweetest compliment :D

I've only gone thru complete game once--but Origen is the real slacker! Then again, he gets a point or three for cobbling together a couple mods..including a complete BT1.. so I'll cut him a tiny bitter o' slaque.

Still, how can ya be a 'reel' DW God if ya haven't played thru the basic game??

I only cobbled together some notes related to modding, and those based on Origen's infamous Mod Tutorial. So no decent mods to my cred--Yet. ..or, Yeti, as the case may be. ;)

Cool to hear your case for allowing a Bard to grace yer cuttin' crew.. I've never used one, so mebe I should reconsider.. I do have an empty crew-slot for a slutty-slattern, hard-drinkin' Bard-girl.

Tried a Psi-Knight once, but he never really did all that great.. esp compared to ye olde fighter. Maybe if I'd gotten him to higher/est levels??

Btw, the newer patches include some add'l items geared towards helping certain classes perform better.. better Ranger gear, etc.

The bard especially kicks arse if you craft a talisman of god like personality for them. They almost always put everyone of the enemies to sleep, so can get a little boring. The Psi-Knight kicks arse later on as well. He has telekenises and pyrokenisis, which does a lot of damage up to 30'. My 2.01b(unofficial) cents worth.

I eventually always dropped my Bards for the reason that they just didn't do much. The one time I tried a Psi-Knight, death.

*Elf Bard Roast* It menaces with spikes of Elf bone. On it is a picture of an Elven Bard and a Dwarf. This relates to the slaying of the elven bard in 245 by the Dwarf Urist McUrist. There is an image of an Elf Bard Roast on it. It is decorated with bands of Steel.

This is an image of a dwarf and a Growler. There are dwarves standing around the dwarf. The Growler is screaming. The Growler has an axe embedded in it's torso. The Dwarf is laughing. The Dwarf is eating a Crumpet.

not bad, not bad..for starters.

a bit rough 'round the edges, what..but me aunt sue can make it right--right as rain, there.

so do we take a vote on the 'proper' spellin' ov 'dwarf/dwarve'?

think we can all agree 'dwarves' is proper plural, as in Dom sired a litter of dwarves.
