Racial Poll-Profiling Alert!

Post by Growler »

No Poll Tax required (just need a birth cert, marriage lic, death cert, driver's lic, mother's/father's/legal-guardian's sig & a few Renny Casino 'tokens' might help grease certain hairy palms :?!)

Feel free to explain your rational (or otherwise) reasons whyou dig a particular Race of the Realm..

I have always wanted to see (as far back as BT2) a 1/2 Dwarf, 1/2 Elf character.

I also like the idea of special classes of magic users exclusive to senrats and saurans respectively. (ie. unique paths & some unique spells.)

How do people feel about certain dual-class combinations being allowed?

I think DNA testing has ruled out any progenitoration springing from Dwarf & Elf commingling. Tho' the idea is amusingly appealing..

Watch out for those Rouge's mascara!

Your dual-class concept sounds cool...just require some add'l programming to manage it.

Given the Arcanium blurb on the history of the orgins (origens?) of the various races, p'haps a 1/2 dwarf/Elf is a Human?

Hey, c'mon already with the spelling thing. It was late, man!

Then again, the idea of firing up one of the picture editors an' giving the picture of my female senrat rougue some eye shadow and a hint o'lippy is curiously appealing.

Oh yeah..that does ring a bell~! :?

Kinda like getting a female horse & male donkey to 'know each other' in the Biblical (ironically) sense breeds a mule? Tho' each mule is thend of that luv-connection lineage.

P'haps the analogy of a tiger and a lion would be better here?

IIRC, there was a game (probably DnD related though, as that has rules set up to handled oddball combo races such as a Elf/Dwarf) that had such a race. I don't remember if it was on the PC though.

In the old forum, someone figured out (complete with graphs, charts, sound effects) that a couple of the Race selections were simply superior to all the rest...think the ones with the best initial stats were Human, 1/2 Elf..?

Seem to recall the devs were gonna try to balance out the races a bit better in the next patch &/or expansion (are those 2 now merged into a single release set for Winter 2112?)..

Does gender selection have effect on initial stats? If no, and Proud Mary is the only spell or item that has any gender-based effect, why wouldn't you always make all your PC's female?

AFAIK, the world of DW is generally gender-neutral--except, as you & others (old forum)--have pointed out, for that pesky little Proud Mary tune...so strictly speaking (if you're gonna buy into all the Bard hype) a party comprised of all chicks could, in theory, whip an all-male crew.

But, hey....we're all livin' in the reel world...right?

Personally, I like to put the less-than-briterwise manly men up front as the tanks & girly-girls in the back (Rogue & Mages). Nicely balanced.

Thus, my crew could re-pop the world (the old-fashioned way) if need be.. :P

Of course I agree that in the real world a group of all grrls would whup the butts of any group of males! Assuming, of course, that said group of males contained a maximum of 2845 individuals- and the sociologic definition of "group" is two or more people... so one group of grrls (at least 2) could easily overcome any number of boyses up to 2846.
