Reviewer with some questions...

Greetings!

I apologize for posting this in a forum instead of via email, but shifting-suns.com is bouncing. I am a freelance reviewer w/PC World, putting together an article on new old-school style games. I have a number of questions about Devil Whiskey (key one currently being 'Can you still download it?', it seems), and if someone can contact me regarding this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello,

Shifting-Suns has been gone for a few years now. The rights to the game were apparently sold to Decklin's Domain. The game can be purchased in box form. CD, box, manual etc. from the link below.
http://www.decklinsdomain.com/games/gam ... vilWhiskey

The downloadable version has been unavailable since Decklin took over.

You can try emailing Decklin, though not sure he will respond.

The forums are very quiet nowadays, but there are still some players that lurk about regularly.

If you do review it, make sure to play the mods created by players, such as dragonbait. His website has all of the player mods, and updates.

May not be ready in time for your review, but I've got a small team currently developing an old-school style RPG along the lines of early Wizardry, Bard's Tale, & Devil Whiskey. It will be fully & easily tweakable + moddable, btw.

Meanwhile, hope you're able to include Devil Whiskey along with associated mods--which are most excellent & add much value to the original game.

Honestly, hard to say--but hoping (perhaps optimistically) to have some early alpha-testing in 4~6 months.

Hope you'll be up for that! :D
And any others as well.

Dire Warning: soon there will begin a thread in the 'Anything Goeth' section to discuss the new old-skool RPG I be conjuring'n'smeltin.

Crazy questions, mead-infused feedback, and insane suggestions all appreciated! (by someone, to be sure)
