Devil Whiskey and 5 other Indies in Indie Fort Bundle!!!

Post by Petrell »

GamersGate offers 6 indie games for $5.99 / €4.99 / £3.99

You can pay more and all extra you pay goes directly to the developers of these games (and helps unlock the extras ;-))!
GamersGate has teamed up with a group of supremely talented developers to create the Indie Fort Bundle – 6 great games at the price of less than one! Not only that, but we’ve made it possible for you to show your support – if you pay more than the minimum $5.99 (or €4.99 or £3.99) price, then all of the extra money goes straight to the devs!

When a certain amount of money has been generated for the devs, we’ll be unlocking bonus content! Make sure to give as much as you can to get hold of everything from soundtracks & artwork to the devs next games!

If you want to chat or have any questions, let us know via @alexpoysky (the indie pr guru himself!) or @gamersgate (that's us!)

Now help secure some amazing future games, while getting a few to keep you busy while you wait ;)

Games included in the bundle:
Kenshi (Alpha)
Cardinal Quest
Black Market
Wanderlust: Rebirth
Devil Whiskey
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution (Indiefort Bundle)

The more you give, the more goodies are included in the bundle!

Puckbang (arcade game) - when 1337 bundles have been sold

Cardinal Quest Soundtrack - when 9000$ in sales is reached

Devil Whiskey Soundtrack - when 25000$ in sales is reached

shhh... it's a secret! - when 50000$ in sales is reached

Rambros (in development) - when 100000$ in sales is reached

Developer thank you video - when 20000$ in sales is reached

Mordor v1.1, The Grim (in development) - when 50000 bundles have been sold

You're welcome. I also made topics in Civ Fanatics forums, RPGCodex forums and pelit.fi forums (Pelit magazine subscribers only).

So far unlocked:
Puckbang (arcade game)
Cardinal Quest Soundtrack
Devil Whiskey Soundtrack
Developer thank you video

22500$ to go for "shhh... it's a secret!" unlock.

Shame that there's snowballs change in hell of getting Mordor. Could Rambros and Mordor change places? :P

I bought last night, and those bonus items don't show up in my library. What do you have to do to get them?
I have played Cardinal quest and puckbang(which showed up when I purchased).
Cardinal quest is a very fun and well done dungeon crawler. Puckbang is annoyingly addictive during those times you are waiting for a download, or don't have much time.

Here's to hoping that that "shhh...it's a secret!" unlock is actually a release of the long ago promised release of the source code to DEVIL WHISKEY!

It's going to cut close on "shhh... it's a secret!" unlock. Only 27 and half hours remain we're still over 7000$ from the unlock threshold. Still hoping we'll make it and that the bonus is worth it.

Edit: The timer was extended today by three days so there's over 3 and half day left now.

Long since passed the needed mark for shh, but nothing is showing up. Decklin, what is shh, and when do we get it?

Alright Decklin,
You signed up for the Gamersgate debacle. You need to climb on their arse to release the shh bonus, that is more than a week overdue. They aren't even replying to queries about it. They are leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth. What started out as a real feel good story, is running closer to fraud these days. All of the Indie game creators and sellers are the ones that are going to get screwed in the long run from this.

So, the "shhh... it's a secret!" bonus has finally been unlocked after almost 2 weeks of waiting. The bonus is Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol version 1.1 (originally intented as 50000 units sold bonus so thank Decklin for it) and should be available for everyone who purchased the bundle alongside rest of the IndieFort Bundle Nr 1 Bonus Content.

Just couple words of word of warning: It's very old RPG from 1995 and it apparently does not work on 64-bit windows as it's apparently 16-bit application. Only solution seems to be to run 32-bit os thru virtualbox or install one on different partition.

Alright Decklin,
Way to step up to the plate. Are we ever going to find out what the problem was, and what the original shh surprise was?

Well I didn't know anything about Mordor v1.1 actually being made available! No-one told me.

When it was discussed I had suggested it should be on a lower tier than the Grim game ( 50,000 units ) but not that it would be on the Shhh! tier - that was entirely GamersGate doing. The Shhh tier was the Steel Storm OST originally - which they accidentally released earlier. Sorry but I had no control over that and also the Mordor v1.1. game has 16 bit code and will only run on 64 bit machines. Unless you use WinDos and install Windows 3.1 - one method I have been told works well for that and other really old games.

I just checked my own GamersGate library - and true-enough, there it was!

I guess I'll find out the hard way how it fares, I had intended to ask a few folks with no prior installs of any Demise related games* to check it out AND make sure the installer messages covered the 64bit issue, BEFORE letting it 'go' ........

*sometimes dll's and etc get installed that are used by VB based games and so they can be missing on other machines. Can't guarantee to catch all the dependencies.

Just curious...do you ever plan on releasing the Devil Whiskey source code?

I didn't bother with picking up this Bundle, as I already own the DW, and none of the other titles really interested me.

As for Mordor. I have Mordor 1.1 CD version along with the shareware version of it as well. It really is a fun game and I especially like Dalyn's Quill dungeon editor for Mordor. It's got some real style to it.

and you can make some really cool maps with it...

As much as I like Mordor 1.1, I like the Devil Whiskey much more as it is turned based and much more in tune to the old Bard's Tale and Wizardry, + Might and Magic Classics.

I know you are and have been mucho busy with the Demise: Ascension, but do you have any plans on doing Anything? with the Devil Whiskey and it's associated engine in the near future or afterwards?
