New player Q (a stupid one)

How to read notes in the game? I have a few notes and when i examine them it says always: You will have to read this one for yourself. How to do that?

I had the same problem! You have to Equip the note, then press U (for Use) in the main screen (not in inventory) and select the note. It is definitely not intuitive.

Don't feel bad.. this has stumped many an otherwise wise adventurer.

But yeah, not exactly intuitive.
Unless yer a gurl like Origen.
