BT Mod being tested, but some bad news as well
Moderator: Admin
I tried taking that saved game and using it on a different computer. It says that it is compensating for a corrupt inventory. It never does though. It sits there for a few moments and then you get the windows message that DW needs to close and do you want to send the problem to microsoft.

Curious, did anyone ever send Support a list?Admin wrote:Figurines...

Can someone volunteer to send Support a list of issues with the editor?
Very likely either Origen or Rickstavern or both.. if so, any word back?

It's up to Origen & any other Modders to keep US from re:voltig....or simply being revolting..

Okay, I am looking at a little modding right now. I have a lot of updating to do with my monsters (currently at over 600), and my items (currently approaching 400).
But for now, I am just trying to get some of the maps imported into the game. That is the most time consuming (and admittedly rather boring) parts of the game. But to keep the interest, i am trying to do some modding while also playing BT3 (which I have not finished yet), so I would go through a level in the BT game, then map the level in DW.
So far, it is working. So I will keep my fingers crossed that I will get something accomplished other than a half finished game.

Origen, what happened to the arena-style combat mod you mentioned way back?

I had the framwork completed, but I never finished the monster stats, so all of the monsters behaved the same way.
I find that the monster file is the hardest part (as opposed to the mapping, which is the most boring part) of modding. You have to set all of their skills, and then give them their attacks, bonuses, etc.
Then, after all that is done, you have to compare them to the other monsters in the area, as well as the earlier monsters and the later monsters to make sure everything is increasing at a steady rate. If you don't, then you get the problem that was had in the original version of DW where you easily finish one dungeon, and the next dungeon you are getting slaughtered in.

Wasn't soo long ago as i remember and anyway perfection takes time. I'm sure once Origen has it complete it will be a masterpiece and all of us DW people will be wanting to get our grubby hands on a copy of it. 8)Growler wrote:Origen, what happened to the arena-style combat mod you mentioned way back?
