I'll look through the numbers and smooth out the progression where there are bumps. I'll post my proposed chart when this is done.

I now have up to level 47/48. I'll keep going up to level 50 and then post an updated edit to the list. It's in the 1.25M XP range right now for almost all characters.

if you are going to make it that far then I am really interested in the gap between 50 and 51. Post 50 it will be a constant value to level.

I've worked out some numbers that I like, but I'm going to run them through some calculations again once you give the later levels. Based on previous progression I was estimating 1m for rogues to get to 50 and about 1.4 for spellcasters with the others between those two values.

I'll let you know soon. It is taking awhile, although it looks to be higher than expected, about 1.35 to 1.45 M for each of the non mage classes. Obviously, this is way less than the 10-14 million or so required in the original version, but the XP comes much slower in v2.01b for the same given fight, as you have mentioned before. All in all, 1.5M is no big deal for the benefits of level 50, and I still have lots of game left in this trial game (finished the catacombs, heading to the dragon caves, and I already have Mind Vortex for example), so the upper levels and spells will be easily reached. (BTW, try playing the game without Mind Vortex at all, it is much more enjoyable).

BTW, still fuddling around at level 49, waiting for the trigger level of XP for level 50 and the change in rank. Rick, just wanted to let you know that it is much higher than expected for level 49 and 50. Level 49 was in the 1.7 to 1.8M range, and level 50 (rank change) looks like it will be around 2M. I'll let you know when I get there.

OK, here are the numbers for the higher levels up to 50. I will be updating the previous big charts once I hit level 51, which hasn't happened yet:

Bard/Rogue: 0.85M for level 46, 0.92M for level 47, 1.00M for level 48, 1.42M for level 49, 2.00M for level 50 and final rank. Level 51 is more than 2.42M (not there yet)

War/RedCl/Barb: 0.90M for 46, 1.00M for 47, 1.10M for 48, 1.45M for 49, 2.00M for level 50 and final rank. Level 51 is more than 2.42M

Pal/Monk/Rang: 1.10M for 46, 1.26M for 47, 1.50M for 48, 2.00M for 49, level 50 and final rank is more than 2.42M (not there yet)

Mages: 1.20M for 46, 1.40M for 47, 1.70M for 48, 2.20M for level 49 and change in rank to Isomancer or Warlock. Level 50 is more than 2.42M

Thts all for now. updates and new chart for Dragon to follow

OK. Pleased to announce that all XP values for v2.01b, up to level 50 to 52, are ready and are posted on the UPDATED long lists above, on p.2 of this thread. According to Rick the progressions beyond this point should be consistently spaced past the final rank (level 50 for all, except mages, which progress to the final rank at 49).

The XP required to get from level 45 to 50 are huge compared to the previous level progressions, not that it is too high, just wanted to update you that the earlier easy level increases do not come so easy at this level any more. It is still way better than the v2.0 levels of 12 Million to 14 Million for this level. Any lower and it would be too easy, so I would keep the status quo.

Here is the final unofficial patch. This includes all changes to maps, scripts, monsters, items and classes that we have covered on these boards. This is the last patch that I will release. Everything that can be fixed in this manner is done.
