Well I've started on mod # 2. It's going to be a tower this time. I don't have a plot yet for it but the layout for level 1 is done. I'm using RT's 2.01b patch. I figure this time the levels will be a little smaller in size than "the basement" but more numerous. Here's a pic.

That is quite disorientating. And not necessarily in a bad way.

Uh, looks a bit like a body-kiln (aka, 'soul torture oven' aka, crematorium)
Also, nice'n'brite. :P

Sweet colors and animation. You are really becoming proficient at this. I can't wait to play it. Is there a demo version to try out?

Well as of right now, I don't have any scripts done yet. Just been focusing on creating some new textures and completing all the maps for each level.

Does anyone here know how to make a ceiling that is a height of 4? I got the walls OK at height 4 but the ceilings always come in at height 1?

Also Origen, do you have that title bar image file?
I tried to download it from Growler's link on another thread but the link was to his old site so the links no longer work.

I will look for the title image.

For the ceilings, if I remember correctly, there is a difference in the hight if you are doing an indoor map as opposed to an outdoor map.

One measures height from the floor, and the other from the ceiling. So if 4 doesn't work, try 1.

I created a wall texture file that is 256X1024 (height 4)

For indoors, I read that it measures from the ceiling.

I've tried changing numerous different heights with the walls.cfg, but as far as i've gotten so far, as long as I have a ceiling file listed in the first line of the config file, the ceilings end up as only height 1. :?

When I change a 256X256 wall file from height 1 to a 2,3,or 4 height in the walls.cfg, it will stretch the wall but if there is a ceiling, the ceiling will be height 1 and the stretched wall will just look blurry/stretched and only reaches the height 1 ceiling.

so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have an example that you can post here?

Dragonbait,

I created a couple of maps with variable heights in my mod. Look up the gallery and the plane of earth for examples of what to do. Yes, it took me forever to figure it all out. There is a critical lack of documentation on the subject.

Just so you are aware... there is a bug that prevents custom floor tiles and garnish from showing when using a dungeon celing height of greater than one.

If you still need that title image (sorry, my site's still down for now) I can send it to you via email.. just send me an email & I'll respond.

Any updates on this project? You have many people with baited breath(growler's breath is a whole different story).
