Actually there were entries in the map.cfg for border graphics, but the textures names were wrong. I had a look at the textures but they were no good (clashed with the floor textures), which is probably the reason why no effort was made to link them correctly.

So I made my own textures and corrected the map. That's the mountains, hills and shore you see on the screenshots.

I definitely like that better than the invisible barrier. It gives it more of an island look.

The first map is complete

Hello.

Just an update on my mod: the first map is complete (though I had to write it again, having saved over it...I definitely should backup my files. Fortunately, the scripts and graphics were unharmed) and seems to work properly.

Now I have to start working on the second one. Hopefully it should take less time (less graphics to do, and I make less mistakes when scripting).

I'll keep you informed.

Hmmm, here is what I've put in the readme; and it's no use asking for more...

INSTALLATION NOTES

You must have already installed the MegaMod. As always, it is recommended that you backup your Devil Whiskey folder before installing the Druids' Challenge.

Then all you have to do is to copy the contents of the Druids Challenge folder to the Devil Whiskey folder, overwriting files when asked.

The mod SHOULD be compatible with saved games from the MegaMod (it worked for mine) but I can't guarantee anything...

It's aimed at a high-ish level party (my chars were at levels 30-40 (depending on their classes), and were able to win the fights even without resorting to the bard's Dirty Diit trick).

THE STORY

An old text in the Arcanium tells of a mysterious group of druids who settled somewhere in the wilderness.
They are hard to find, but are willing to reward those clever and strong enough to find them and solve their challenge.

How much is completed?

More than half, since it's a 2-map mod. and most of the graphics are already done. I've thought a little about the layout of the second map, and started scripting it.

I'v been working on the 2nd map: the layout and textures are almost complete.

After that, I'll have to populate it with monsters and scripts.

More next time.

Cool.. now gotta find time to continue building my 'new' party to the point where they can tackle these higher-lev mods. :)

May end up using your cheat, KSS..but hoping not to! 8)

Your graphics look excellent, btw.

The layout and textures are finished.

I still have 2 monsters to make (hopefully with pictures, despite my lackluster skills).

The scripts are halfway done.

All in all, DC crawls forward at a nice sluggish pace.

Hmmm, I doubt my wife would appreciate that.

And anyway, my next baby is already en-route.
