Hey guys. For anyone still around. quick question. I am having an issue running the ilftool on my new laptop. It is running Windows 8, and it keeps telling me it can't open the items_BL2D.bak file. The file is in the items folder, so I'm not sure the issue. Anyone else seen this?

I wait around a while and let guinea pigs like you work out the bugs with new OS's. DW was showing it's age in W7. I am not surprised to hear W8 has issues with it. Good luck O'man.

Yeah, I am not sure how to fix it, but I just put it on a flash drive and compiled it on another computer. Don't have the time or technical knowledge to begin troubleshooting. :D

I was gonna ask same question re playing DW on Win10..

Just got a shiny new computer with...win 10 on it.
So after many hrs disabling all the anti-privacy and crapware bloat, will try loading up DW.

Will post in next few days re results.. fingers crossed.

The game loads up, and I played it briefly on W10, but didn't play it for very long. Also haven't tried any modding aspects. Just not getting back into it unfortunately.

Cheney, I just posted elsewhere..under the question re Win 7.. I was able to get it to run fine on Win 10, tho with a semi-slight issue re running at higher than lowest rez.. which seems more an issue with my graphics rez generally.

Origen, you've managed to make ole Growlz cry a little.
Thanks.
Btw, does possibility of open-sourcing DW make any difference to ye?

While open Source would hopefully breathe some new life into DW, I don't know how much I would be able to contribute. I don't have any programming skills, so it will probably be all Greek to me.
