Craedus, you might want to exert a little 'stay-on-thread-topic' muscle in here.. These Irish..Welch..uh, Scottish? jokers are going nuts sans new chapters to read & maps to peruse!

Good thing at least a Growler knows how to remain on the razor's edge of a thready topical thinger..

So what's a Lochaber? Some fowl..foul instrumental piece to gut & hang about with gusto?

Ok Growler, here's a short update to try and reign things in.

I've finished a rough draft of the first map and proofed another chapter of Book 2. I have a weeks vacation coming up so I hope to have Book 2 ready by July 18th. Keep your fingers crossed

Another update. I proofed another 8 pages today. That's 28 of 80 done. It takes about 15-20 minutes a page so...it might be a little while yet. Hopefully I can get all the proofing done next week while on vacation. A 15-20 hours is all I need. Then all I have to do is type it up, spell check it, and send it off to Growler to be posted online.

Now if I can just stop playing Fate and get back to work

Good one Growler, but by "Fate" I mean WildTangent's Diablo-clone. I usually don't play many games in the summer months but I do manage to sneak a little Devil Whiskey and Fate in there now and again.

I must have missed Orgen's offer to help proof the story. If he did offer then I'll have to thank him. But I should explain things a little so you understand why I takes so long to "proof" the story and why its a little more involved that just looking for "spelling and grammar" errors.

I use to writing these stories as online serials. A chapter a week or so. So originally Book 1 and Book 2 took over a year and a half to write/post. I found, after going back to reread them, bits and peices of the plotlines of the stories, got forgetten or left out or in haste not explained very well. By me saying I'm going back to "proof" the stories, I'm actually going back,rereading them and adding parts to the stories to make them smoother and tie up various loose end. Hence Book 1 having 6500+ word more than the original release.

With book 2 I'm up over the 1500+ mark arleady and I expect one chapter near the end to contain a few pages of new dialouge.

Well, since you wouldn't take me up on it, then yeah, I offered.

Anyway, I have a mod to finish up with, so I don't think I would have time to proof anyway.

Maps done: rough drafts only

Percentage of Book 2 rewrite done: 26%

I'm still shooting for an end of the month release for Book 2 and an end of the Summer release for Book 3....and possibly an end of the year release for Book 4.

Percentage of Book 2 rewrite done: 33%

I took the day off yesterday and went to Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells yesterday. Its the largest water park int he area with lazy rivers, giant wave ppols and a dozen of the biggest, fastest and most amazing watercoasters ever! It was fun but I'm preety well sun burnt now

Well back to the rewrite!

Well considering I'm from Wisconsin.....

I only had one day to go somewhere and I had to drive, so....it was either the water park or Chicago. Since its 95+ degrees here with about 1500% humidity I didn't relish 5+ hours in traffic to drive to Chicago. The water park won out.

Percentage of Book 2 rewrite done: 43%

Last day of vacation today but I hope to get all the rewrites for the last 10 proofed pages done by Monday. That will get me almost half way through Book 2. I should be on track for the "end of July" deadline I've set for myself for completing Book 2.

I want to know if anyone is still insterested in reading book 2????

I was trying to publishing Book 1 and had to hold off on distributing any new material but I've decided to scrap that idea and publish a different book. I am free to release the rest of the Realm Quest material to the 'net.

If there is an interest I'll try and get Book 2 posted somewhere.
