How does one find out a particular post's number (or the other way round for that matter?).

Don't know about an individual post, but you can get the total from the bottom of the main page, where it says something like "Our users have posted a total of 1005 articles".

Yeah, I know that, but I've been to other forums where each post or at least each thread had its own unique number. That number would show on the bottom bar as the mouse pointer hovered over the post.

Ah, I found something.

If you right-click anywhere on the main part of this page, then select 'Properties', the last part of the URL shows the post number. However, this ONLY works for the LAST post added to the thread.
