The Call of Cthulhu

Post by troysterling »

As a fan of Devil Whiskey, and a lurker of the forum (haven't been here in a while...sorry) I thought I'd do a shameless plug as it's probably of interest to those who like the genre...

I did the film score for probably the most faithful adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's writings yet:
www.cthulhulives.org/cocmovie/index.html

The DVD and score are available at that site. Also feel free to visit my site:

P.S. Attn: Devil Whiskey developers - I'm still interested in doing music for you...

Well, I am not a DW developer, but a DW modder, and I would love to have some original troysterling tunes.

Any kind of looping dungeon-crawl music would be nice. In BT 1, there is a Wine Cellar, Sweres, Catacombs, a Castle, and 2 towers. If there is anything you would like to donate for this moddingly worthy cause, that would be nice.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Congrats on that! Looks & sounds tres magnifique.

You did some DW-compatible looping tracks several months ago--are those still available? They used to be on your site in the audio section, but now appear to have gone section 8..? Those were terrific..hope you can put them back up on your site somewhere (even if available via a hidden link 8))

So do nice DW forum members get the 1/2 off Troy-Special discount for the DVD movie?? (sure it's actually worth 2x the $20 tag, but you know, with gas at $3/gal & xmas coming up! plus, I think one of Origen's or Dom's Rogues picked my pocket last time we 'got into it')

Not my Rogue. I tossed him off a bridge. However, I have been dabbling in the telekinetic; and she could pick your pocket from about 400 miles away. At least while drunk, probably less while sober.

San Angelo... What do you know? Now tell me do you have something to say? Don't get me wrong, I miss my home, and it feels like I'm a million miles away.

links as requested

the links for the DW-realted tunes are as below:

http://www.troysterling.com/VesparsVixens.mp3

http://www.troysterling.com/roscosrespite.mp3

the .ogg files are same address, .ogg extension.

If you use them, please give credit somewhere in your mod(music by Troy Sterling Nies or www.troysterling.com would be sufficient.) Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed them - I'm sure I will write more in that vein/genre when I have some time open up - working on a few film projects at the moment...

It's Cthulu when you're speaking of it in relation to Howard Phillips Lovecraft's works. I haven't a clue(and don't care) if it's the correct phoeneticization or not...
