The Official Abandonware Ring

Post by dragonbait »

It's official! On March 25th, 2008, my website is now part of the Official Abandonware Ring.
Here's a link to what abandonwarering had to say about my site the(icestorm9999 crpg directory)
(they only keep the most recent news for the past 5 days or so,
so I'll post what they wrote here in case you don't get to read this yahoo group post in time...

From the Abandonware Ring
Posted by Lone Lee on 2008-03-25:
We have two new members today.

One is a mostly slavonic abandonware ring, and has several of our sites as their associates. Nice layout! All welcome Abandonmarch, yeah!

Despite weird name and unusual design, second new member is dedicated to my favorite genre: CRPGs! All welcome new member icestorm9999!

And have a nice day you all.

hey thanks. :D

I'm currently testing out Pool of Radiance and Bard's Tale I, on a Nintendo emulator. "Nestopia" so if all goes well I'll be adding some things here and there.

I noticed that one of the most viewed pages was for "Pools of Darkness" so I figured i should update the page. I added a backround of some wilderness battle scenery.

Pools of Darkness

I've been using a new animator program so I'll get some better animated pics on there soon, since the ones currently on the page have some loss of quality in the images.

The site is an ongoing project + also a hobby. It's great that people are really starting to reference it and it's picked up many new visitors and people joining in on the forums. 8)

I may make updates to this page in the future but for now it stands as is.

Also I'm trying to learn some CSS so I can update my website to more modern times. I have alphabetized the directory for ease in use as well.

Dragon, yer the hardest-working guy in show biz!
Pray tale--what's your secret??

Speaking of lawyers, now That would be a scary profession to select for a character. Scarier than Assassin or Full-Time Villain

But just think how you could knock out all kinds of tuff monsters with a single parchment--not even magical!

Very cool! I never played BTIII, so mebe I shouldn't take more than a cursory look 8) otherwise, I'll be a-cursing.

I tried & tried to get the devs to publish a DW cluebook -along with other nifty DW-related items, like a nice spellbook, monsters guide, Wenches of DW calendar, etc. Partly as a way to generate much-needed add'l revenue & thus help them continue expanding DW.. But never panned out. :(

Maybe one day...in far-away Skara Brae...

FYI: The icestorm9999 is closing

Post by dragonbait »

FYI: The Icestorm9999 site is moving to a new URL.
Re: the new site...

I will be working on updating old links on these DW forums (the links that I am able to update anyways. And all Megamod, patches and any and all files related to the DW will be transfered.)
