It's been in the back of my mind to finish up the pool of radiance page that I had created waaay back when, and the fact that it is on the PoR page of wikipedia kinda reinforced the fact that I need to get off my arse and finish the damn thing and move onto and complete the other numerous projects that have been left unfinished. So there I went back onto my CTX Ez-Book w/ Windows 95, to complete Pool of Radiance. Surprisingly from where I had left off since last time, I could finish the game within only a couple of hours. For some reason though, one of my characters could not move around during combat. The move option was just not available. must be a corrupt save file or something. Well anyway I had to remove him and create a new character to bring along with me. Not that I expected the new character to survive through till the end of the game with him being at level 1. I named him Xoram just for kicks. + yeah he didn't survive the final fight against Tyranthraxus, but then would you expect to survive as a level 1 fighter against the most evil and powerful enemy ever? Think not. My team did very well though. Here's a screenshot.
hey, you Sure you defeated Tyran..thraxus??
Looks like he's taunting ye a 2nd time!

Yes. Lots. I've played it through numerous times. It's at least as long as the DW. maybe longer. The Dos version, + manual, journal, cluebook, codewheel, is available for download here. You'll need Dosbox to run it unless you have an older windows machine around.
