How well did DW sell?

It seems like there would be a market for this kind of old-school game. Anyone know how many DWs Shifting Suns sold?

Noone has a clue how many were sold. Trying to get that information from anyone affiliated with the game was like trying to give yourself a colonoscopy.

Self-colonoscopy's aren't really that hard.. *did growler jest type that out loud!?*
 :?

I vaguely recall hearing some approx # a year or 3 back.. possibly a few to several thousand??

Does seem they could've potentially--with marketing effort--sold 10's of thousands at least.

Decklin's Listing on Ebay Item number: 320105875475
A couple of months ago, 47 were available for purchase.
Now it says 46.

Besides word of mouth, was there ANY marketing for this game?

When was the last official patch / contact with the developers?

Let's clear up some confusion here(if only in my mind). Jykler, what exactly are you in relation to DW?

I was an alpha tester/beta tester for the game.
I also bought some shares in SS because I believed in the company.
I also rebuilt the forums after they crashed.
Ummmm... is that enough? (i'm on the list when you see the credits on the game WOHOO!!)

What do you mean,"bought some shares"? DW wasn't a listed company were they? Do you have any inside info on why they just let things go? There are many people that just want something said. If they just wanted to make money, that is fine, but at least have a question and answer session. If they were as passionate about BT, etc.. as it appears, how can you just walk away and not even look back. Thanx,C

No, I was part of the team since I beta'd for them, so I was able to buy some shares ( i can't remember, a couple i think not a whole lot) but I am not sure what's going on with the developers. I haven't had much of a response, I was asked to keep an eye on the forums for them, and provide tech support if I could. I DID get a response today from someone, I hope to have a copy of the monster.txt file soon (yea I know, I promised that alot.) I'll try and find out what's the status of the development and what's going on with their products. OK?
Thanks.
