New Weapons, Armors, Items ~ Proving Ground

Here's a small sampling of names & brief descripts for weapons, armors, etc I've been conjuring the past couple years..

Wind-Breaker ... [‘offensive’ shielding, or SBD/silent but deadly weapon]
BowShock Shield ... [for Ranger/bow-wielding type]
Madagascar Dagger ... [oddly evolved dagger ~ may poison]

The Vituperator ... [very sharp, highly venomous]
MudSlinger ... [insulting to everyone--including the bearer]
The Denigrator ... [a tad worse than being verbally put down, lightweight dagger]

MuckRaker ... [bonus versus greedy Kings & Inn-Keeps]
The BeSmircher ... [you’ll die laughing!]
The Stigmatizer ... [curious blade, seems to drip poison]

The ReViler ... [not to be confused with the much sunnier, The Reveler]
The DeFamer ... [bonus vs. Royalty]
Fang-Breaker ... [bonus vs. various Wyrms, Dragons, Snakes, Spiders, etc]

Back-Biter ... [armor? weapon? -returns damage somehow.. ancient]
Angel-Blade ... [beautiful & blessed for add’l accuracy]
The Destroyer ... [every hit enjoys an added micro-explosion--little bro to The Annihilator]

The Hearse Blade ... [vengeance-dark metal, just seeing it’ll make yer spirit quiver]
The DeHydrator ... [bonus versus watery monsters]
The Canker ... [brute-ugly oozin’ club, may spread disease--thus, poisonous]

The Anhk Shield ... [blessed for extra protection]
The Slip-Giver ... [dagger, good for thieves/rogues]
Scourge Sword ... [for Paladin-types, bonus vs undead & evil creatures]

The Raver-Blade ... [when swung--emits a shrill scream, helping to stun yer enemy]
Frenzy-Blade ... [yields add’l attacks, requires extra Dex to wield]
Frenetic Cleaver ... [yields add’l attacks, requires extra Strength to wield]

Diffraction Armor/Shield/ing ... [blindstuns yer enemy]
Trugrit Helm/Blade ... [gives/takes a lickin’ & keeps tickin’]
The Leveler ... [excellent fur slicing thru thick knees of tall beasts]

The Deal-Breaker ... [great fur ending honor amongst thieves]
GrindStone Axe ... [never needs sharpening, self-sharpening with every beheading]
The Toppler ... [bonus vs. Giants or any TALL monsters]

The Scorcher ... [comes complete with burning tip]
Ox Bow ... [requires exceptional strength, guarantees exceptional damage]
The Dislocator ... [Orcs swear by them, nice folk swear At them!]

The Rusty Dagger ... [could cause infection; might be good name for a Tavern/Inn]
The Score-Settler ... [down'n'dirty mallet, takes man-sized Strength to wield]
Synaptic Helm ... [aids mental acuity ~ good fer Mages]

The Ming Sling ... [ornate as a sling can be, boosts charisma & comeliness; also quite accurate]
DyNasty Blade / Armor ... [speaks for itself ~ a nasty way to die]
The Crooked CrossBow ... [not-so-accurate, but high damage if ye get a lucky shot]

Anyone else got new items? :P

(yup. like the original spiritual hammer but with xtra damage, but you'll need some high WI) (will probably make some additional items that boost WI in case your characters are a bit lacking in the wisdom department.)

btw, can anyone explain what the 'AT' StatEffect is?
think it basically helps increase odds that a weapon (or the basher char swinging the weapon) will hit a monster, right?
-but no bearing on the amount of damage IF hit..?

wonder what happened to that guy anyway?

regarding AT, I never found anything to say for sure but I'm assuming that yes it does what you think it does. makes easier to hit the monster.

then if you want addtnl damage then that would be DM.

I've been trying to get this thing to work correctly. Originally I had you being able to cast a spell with it, but although there were 20 charges, it seemed that I could no longer use it after the first time. So then I've been trying to set it up like a ranged weapon. Mainly I'm trying to get this rocket launcher to be able to hit more than one monster at a time. But so far it only hits one monster. Sure yeah it hits for allot but is there a way to get it to hit more than just one monster?

Dunno, but sounds like the issue with the ThunderHammer (super-cool crafted range weapon) it would work once--then fly off never to be heard of again. Seem to recall it at least did some damage to 1 monster before exiting the known universe.

One of the patches fixed it, but then they gave it very limited charges--especially considering the time/effort/gold req'd to craft the dang thang! :evil: :roll: :evil:

Hopefully Origen or Rick could help ya with zee Yodi's PRL issue.. :?

how about a spell casting knife for the rogue, a spell recharging helm for the mages, and a limited use shield casting gauntlet for the paladin (in the good spirit of iron man)

unless Growler's gone sea-Nile, seem to recall there being Magi-Helms that recharge spell points/energy?? (don't leave home without 'em!)
