Question for any Bard's tale players

Post by origen »

Hey, just a general question for anyone who used to play the original Bard's Tale games. I think everyone knows that the Spectre Snare is pretty much the most dominant weapon you can get, but my question is, what the heck kind of weapon is it anyway? Sword, Axe, Spear, that sort of thing. I have played Bt for most of my life, but I have to admit I have no idea what the heck it actually is. What do people think?
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

My best guess is a box similar to what they used in Ghostbusters to trap ghosts. But other than that I really have no idea.

Think Dragon's on the right trail.. a rope-dart gun to lasso/bind ghostly foes.

from
http://filmationghostbusters.wikia.com/ ... ctre_Snare
The Spectre Snare is a device that fires a rope and lasso. It is very effective in catching Ghosts so they can be dematerialized.

Spectre Snare: Shoots a coiled rope to trap a ghost.

On the wall is etched: The Spectre Snare can catch a foe and bind him lest his spirit go...
