Yes, that's the biggest problem.

But I have found a professional artist that will do some of the work.
I am sure that the whole product will fit one style in the end :D

And if not... well... just start Bard's Tale again (for comparison) and everything is fine *kidding*

Greetings

Just need a 'style-filter' program ;)

Put any style pic in, and Voila! -they all come out looking like the same artist made them. 8)

Enjoy

Some trivia...

Years after the demon war had ravaged through Theria, leaving nothing but despair and ruins, the black ash of destruction ceases to rain.
The Guardians of Virtue dismissed their allied dragons, sending them into everlasting sleep again in their deep caves near the center of the planet, before ascending to their cosmic hideouts high above the Therian heavens.
Demons no longer roam the lands, most of them were slain and sent back into the underworld. Seals of great power keep them locked in their fiery prisons carved into magically preserved dragon hearts.
The elements finally dare to get back into proper position, the sun continues her arc through the sky, no longer hiding behind the moon.
Water decides to escape from its ocean grave once again, replacing the acid that rained down in long nights of sorrow and pain.
Trees now grow green, giving shelter to grass, bushes and all kind of animals. The balance between chaos and order is restored.
But there are still evil creatures left. Bereft of their leaders, who were slain, burned or just fled, marauders of all kinds gather in the shadows, waiting for careless travellers to sacrifice new blood to evil, so that the demons may rise again sometime.
Few defenders of Order are left, and some of them now live in the ruins of Castle Cranbourgh, former home to one of the last heroes that fell in the final battle.

My artist told me that by June, all 22 character portraits will be ready and some monsters, too. That should be sufficient for a demo. Sorry for the delay - at least more time for polishing. 8)

...well, for me it wasn't a long time, because I am still spending most of my spare time developing the game.

This is no dead horse thread I want to re-animate, but this is a review of how things have changed in the last 18 months...

the result is here: http://silversword-rpg.com/

I hadn't much luck in finding an artist that would come close the the DW art, and my creatures aren't even animated, but as far as gameplay and content goes, I am very satisfied with what the game has become.

It will stay iOS only, very sorry, but if you happen to own one of those Apple devices, you should probably give it a try.

Kind regards
Mario

I did get Silversword, but since I only have the iPhone, I haven't played it yet since it is kind of small. But it is good to see these types of games.
