Anyone seen The Guild?

A series of highly amusing RPG-related webisodes on the YouTube.

Doesn't hurt the main girl is pretty hot, if in a sort of nerdy-Elfy way.

Just flashed through a few eps; seems nice, but without subtitles I'm kinda screwed...

Nice to see Sheldon's arch-enemy guest-starring too.

If it helps, there's an 'Interactive Transcript' option just below the views count. With a handful of language options.

Sometimes they speak so fast or use funky expressions that I need the transcript.

Why screwed sans subtitles?

hmm.. arch-enemy = Willy Wheaton? 8)

Thanks, I'll try that.

Because as you said they sometimes speak fast, and english is not my native language (check my sig for a hint...); furthermore, at times I don't hear very well...

Of course! Die Wil Wheaton.

BTW the Shoppe is almost complete; I just need to implement the last uniques and it's done.

I'm better at reading/writing : after some incidents 20 years ago with translated books (namely the second book of the 1st Thomas Covenant trilogy where about a third had been removed...) I've taken to reading books in original version, so I've got a lot of training.

Furthermore, I'm kind of an orthograph/grammar nazi :)

I'm not as good at hearing/speaking...

As for my sig, it's from one of Renaud's songs, and loosely translates to:

To live free is often to live alone,
It may hurt your guts
But it's good for your mug

"mug" : Renaud uses "gueule" which is slang for "mouth" or "face"; the meaning here is of course "mind"

Thanky for the translation. Seems my gist was off by about 41.7%. ;)

True, sans doubt--that to live free is to fly solo, for otherwise one must compromise & accommodate. Which is why the Origen lives in a cage of his own (better 1/2's) making.

Even so, no man--or woman, as in Origen's case--is an island, for all are enjoined & share glibly in the misery that even wanton life cannot escape.

Verities lie in complexities. 8)
