Because as you said they sometimes speak fast, and english is not my native language (check my sig for a hint...); furthermore, at times I don't hear very well...Sometimes they speak so fast or use funky expressions that I need the transcript.

speaking of sigs.. how would you translate your sig?
I tried on my own (oy.. those 2 yrs of Francais in HS & college have loooong since been wiped) with no luck & even the venerable Babelfisher couldn't translate very well--tho just enough I think I got z gist..

I'm better at reading/writing : after some incidents 20 years ago with translated books (namely the second book of the 1st Thomas Covenant trilogy where about a third had been removed...) As for my sig, it's from one of Renaud's songs, and loosely translates to:

"mug" : Renaud uses "gueule" which is slang for "mouth" or "face"; the meaning here is of course "mind"

Even so, no man--or woman, as in Origen's case--is an island, for all are enjoined & share glibly in the misery that even wanton life cannot escape.
