Hey, any updates re FoL?
Last I read (from a 2014 post) you were setting development to the side, but indicated you might go back & release a more basic game??

Hope that works out!

Forge of Legends, I got probably a good 60% through before I ran out of steam. I'm assuming the post you are referring to is the "lessons learned" post on the waddlingdragon blog?

I may yet get back to coding, or even Forge of Legends some day. Currently, I'm a bit stuck working on an isometric engine. Surprisingly difficult to work up from scratch, even though I understand the mechanics of isometric rendering...

Anyway, I have no real update other than, "we'll see what the future holds." It is nice to see some interest, though!

In other news, and in a totally self-serving shameless plug, I have been writing short stories. You know, to pass the time in-between coding. It would be awesome if anyone read it and dropped a comment (even if you hate the story):

It was great to hear from someone who remembers FoL. And maybe someday...

Thanks for responding, Jeff!
We corresponded a bit a couple~few yrs ago re game-dev. I got maybe 25% done towards an old-school RPG..and still hope to continue if/when I can find someone to handle the coding.

Do hope you get back to your RPG!

Meanwhile, look forward to reading your story.. assuming their in this general RPG/fantasy genre, you should always post/link them here.

I remember you from those emails :)

My stories generally are fantasy, though some more RPGish than others.
