Returning player with a quick question

It's been about 3 years since I regularly played DW.

I cannot find the command to activate, use, invoke, zap, or whatever makes a sprite wand work.

Could someone kindly help a senior citizen with this information? Please.

You have to equip it first, then you can Use it by pressing U.
