I realize this post might not be answered anytime soon, but I have an issue. First off, I did successfully complete the game in 2005/2006. Recently, I blew the dust off of my game CD and also installed the Megamod 2.01b., and began all over again.

I'm around level 29 with my two mages, but one of them (which was a Geomancer, now an Aeromancer) seems to have not given me the option to purchase the Geomancer's last level 7 spells which contains "depetrify." So, because I failed to add a Paladin to my party when I initially created it (dummy me), I have to leave my current quest when a character becomes stoned and make my way to the temple for healing.

Is there a way to add the "depetrify" spell to my next level of spell purchases?

Another issue is this- When I formed my party and sunk hours of play into it (later adding the Megamod once I discovered it), I noticed that it was not saving to my "saved game" file. After experimenting with a couple "test partys", I discovered that the reason for this is because I was not running the game in the Windows XP compatibility mode, but was running it in my current Windows 10 mode. Windows 10 will not save to the "saved game" file, BUT the game will still save internally.

Now, when I run in Windows XP mode, the team I created in the Windows 10 mod is not accessible. So, unless I want to start from scratch with a new team, I am forced to run in Windows 10 mod. Although I still experience some game crashes in Windows 10, adding the Megamod has lessened that somewhat. What I find myself doing is hitting the "esc" key and saving my game after a few battles.
Also, sometimes it takes me a couple of times to load the game clicking the DW icon. It simply freezes up at times, and then I have to hit my windows key a couple of times to get out of it.

But, my main issue is definitely figuring out how to cure a stoned character without a Paladin and without the "depetrify" spell while still in battle. I do not yet have access to the Bard's "River Stane" song, so I do not know if that would do it. Probably not since that song helps to cure aging.

Any help or guidance with hacking the files would be appreciated. Thank you.
